Presto Lifts Inc. – Over 70 Years of Innovation
Presto Lifts of Norton, Massachusetts has been creating precision hydraulic lifts to improve safety and productivity since 1944, and their dedication to product quality, availability and innovation is clear. Their products are designed to meet or exceed the industry standard for lift equipment including ANSI MH29.1, ANSI MH29.2 & B56.10, and they must pass a 110% capacity test before they are delivered to ensure that they meet Presto’s high quality standards. Here are a few of the heavy duty stackers you might consider from Presto Lifts:
- Heavy Duty PowerStak – Model PPS3000-125AS: The big brother of the Presto PowerStak series of high-performance, fully powered stackers. This series has a low overall weight compared to equivalent stackers with a quiet operation and sleek design that allows the PowerStak to fit into a wide variety of work environments. The heavy duty model has a 24 Volt drive motor with a 25 Amp internal charger to provide the power required to easily transport loads up to 3000 pounds. The extended mast allows the stacker to lift loads up to 10 feet in the air. Tandem polyurethane load wheels and forged forks provide ease of movement and safe operation. Further safety features include an emergency stop switch and safety key switch. Dimensions are height 86”, width 58”, length 77” and a shipping weight of 2000 pounds.
- Battery Stackers – 15” Load Center: These units are small and maneuverable, which makes them ideal for a wide variety of uses for small open bottom pallets or skids, with powered lift capacities up to 2000 pounds. Adjustable solid steel forks move from 6 1/2” to 26 1/2” with a heavy duty 12 Volt battery to provide the power. The unit includes 5” phenolic wheels to save the floor and a 3-position comfort cushioned push handle to save the hands of the operator. Dimensions for the largest unit are height 93”, width 27”, length 49” with a shipping weight of 590 pounds. Further safety features are a perforated metal screen and foot-operated floor brake.
Wesco Industrial Products Inc. – Guaranteed Against Weld Failure
Wesco Industrial Products from North Wales, Pennsylvania has been manufacturing top quality lift equipment since 1948, ensuring top quality products that are the best in the industry. Wesco Products has long focused on the unique requirements of specialized industries such as medical, pharmaceutical, beverage and clean room applications. Wesco offers a 5 year guarantee against weld failures on their lift products, so you can be assured they will always stand behind their products. Here are some of the Wesco stackers that Douglas Equipment may recommend:
- Power Drive Stacker (Model EKS-10): The power drive stacker by Wesco is designed for use with skids that have no bottom slats rather than pallets, but this unit makes up for this limitation by having a load capacity of 2200 pounds. The unit has forks that adjust from 19” to 27” and a lift height of 98 1/2” using a dual chain lift. Two 12 Volt sealed batteries provide the power required for the unit’s lift abilities and the power propulsion system that takes the effort out of moving and steering heavy loads. The unit is easily maneuverable with fingertip control that provides variable forward and reverse speeds. The load wheels, drive wheels and steering wheels are all mold-on polyurethane. Safety features include an automatic safety stop that shuts down the unit when the safety stop comes in contact with an obstacle. Overall dimensions are width 35”, height 70” (lowered mast), depth 64” and the unit weighs 826 pounds.
- Counter-Balance Power Stacker (Model PCBFL-76-25): This model meets the ANSIB56.10 standards for lift equipment and has a load capacity of 1000 pounds. The unit is great for applications including loading and unloading trucks, positioning dies and feeding material to presses. The standard long forks are 25” with 30” forks available as an option. This model has a lift height of 76”, but other models are available in 56” and 64” lift heights. The unit does require 600 pounds of counter weight for the 1000 capacity unit, but safety features that come as standard include remote control, safety screen and floor lock. An easy to read battery indicator is included, and the stacker can operate with a minimal charge while recharging occurs. Dimensions are width 26.5”, height 92”, depth 59.5” and a weight of 611 pounds.
