When it comes to moving things there are certain tools and equipment that can make the job much easier. A very versatile piece of moving equipment is the fork stacker. A fork stacker can be mobile or stationary; it can be maneuvered in hard fit spaces. A fork stacker can lift both large and small items as well as most heavy items. It can also lift items to high places with one simple action. The fork stacker is one piece of equipment that can be utilized in a variety of ways for a variety of purposes in many different workplace settings.
The Mechanics of Hydraulics and its Benefits in the Workplace
Fork stackers are often available with a hydraulic lift system. The science of hydraulic mechanics allows for a lot of power to be transferred with minimum effort and space. Hydraulic mechanics is a system that utilizes liquids to transfer power. This is especially useful in mechanical equipment where liquids can be housed in tubes and lines, which take up little space, but allows for power to be distributed and applied to different mechanical parts. The hydraulic fork stacker is a great example of this system. The worker need only to apply pumping pressure to a foot pedal to raise the forks of the stacker and lift whatever the load is. This allows the worker to lift loads that he would otherwise be unable to lift and with even less effort than would be used to manually lift much lighter loads. The hydraulic system also allows for controlled lowering which can be very useful to ensure the safety of the load.

Three Available Options
The standard hydraulic fork stacker is available in three different sizes. It is available in 75” with a 56” fork lift height, in 83” with a 64” fork lift height and in 94” with a 76” fork lift height. All three sizes have comparable weights, ranging from 265 lbs to 306 lbs and all have a load capacity of 1000 lbs. Standard on all models are floor locks, safety screens and foot guards.
Another important standard feature is that the forks touch the floor on all models. They come with phenolic wheels in the front that are 5” in diameter and phenolic swivel casters in the back that are 4” in diameter and a hydraulic jack that is manufactured in the U.S.A. The forks are 1″ thick, 3″ wide and 25″ long. They have an adjustable span of up to 25″ and a 15″ load center. The base leg span is 15″ on the inside and 21″ on the outside.
The hydraulic fork stacker is also available in an economy version. The economy version is a little smaller overall; it is available in 72”, 80” and 92” and weighs in from 258 lbs to 295 lbs. Although the weight and height of the economy version stacker are less than their standard counterparts, the fork lift heights and load capacities remain the same as the corresponding sizes.
The straddle hydraulic fork stacker is available in three different sizes with differing lift heights. It is available in 75” with a 56” fork lift height, in 83” with a 64” fork lift height and in 94” with a 76” fork lift height. All three sizes have comparable weights, ranging from 288 lbs to 333 lbs and all have a load capacity of 1000 lbs. Standard on all models are floor locks, safety screens and foot guards. With the standard model the forks touch the floor on all sizes. They come with phenolic wheels in the front that are 5” in diameter and phenolic swivel casters in the back that are 4” in diameter and a hydraulic jack that is manufactured in the U.S.A. The straddle hydraulic fork stacker is also available in an economy version. The economy version is a little smaller overall; it is available in 72”, 80” and 92” and weighs in from 281 lbs to 322 lbs. Again, although the weight and height of the stacker are less than their standard counterparts, the fork lift heights and load capacities remain the same as the corresponding sizes.
The third option is the wide straddle fork stacker which is available in one size. It is 72.5” tall with a 56” fork lift height. It weighs 290 lbs. with a load capacity of 1000 lbs. It has floor locks, a safety screen and a foot guard and its forks touch the floor. It also has phenolic wheels in the front that are 5” in diameter and phenolic swivel casters in the back that are 4” in diameter and the hydraulic jack that is manufactured in the U.S.A.
