Who We Are

Douglas Equipment Company is a family-owned B2B industrial distributor headquartered in Miami, FL. We were founded in 1955, when our predecessors recognized that South Florida's growing warehouse, food processing, healthcare, and construction operations needed a local source for properly specified industrial casters and material handling equipment.

Today, that mission is unchanged. We are still a family business. We still hold inventory at our Miami warehouse — 7128 NW 72nd Ave, in the heart of South Florida's industrial corridor. We still answer the phone in 12 seconds with a real human who can specify your application.

What's different is our reach: where we once served Miami warehouses, we now serve operations across North America — the United States, Canada, and Mexico — and throughout Central America and the Caribbean. Where we once stocked casters and material handling, we now also distribute CTP and ITR aftermarket heavy equipment parts and provide Industrial Procurement Services to Latin American buyers.

Leadership

Ricardo Wallis — General Manager

Ricardo leads day-to-day operations at Douglas Equipment, including sales, customer relationships, custom assembly, and regional distribution. He brings deep industry knowledge of caster specification, material handling logistics, and the unique demands of South Florida's industrial customers.

Our Approach

We sell specifications, not SKUs. Whether you need a single caster for a custom assembly or a consolidated pallet of CTP undercarriage parts to Guatemala, our process is the same: understand the application, recommend the right product, and stand behind it.

That includes telling you when you should buy OEM Caterpillar instead of CTP, or when a less expensive caster will outperform a premium one for your specific application. Our reputation depends on your operation working — not on closing one sale.
