Frequently Asked Questions

When does a project need Hilman rollers vs. a forklift?
Forklifts work for items under 10,000 lbs in open spaces with concrete floors that can take the point loads. Hilman rollers are required when: (a) the item exceeds forklift capacity (CNC machines, presses, transformers), (b) overhead clearance is too low for a forklift mast, (c) the floor cannot take forklift wheel loads (delicate epoxy, raised flooring, mezzanines), or (d) precision positioning is required (lining up bolt patterns, alignment work). For plant relocations, Hilman is standard equipment.
Do you rent Hilman rollers or only sell?
We sell Hilman new from our Miami warehouse. For one-time plant moves, we can connect you with rigging contractors in South Florida who own Hilman fleets. For operations that move equipment regularly (manufacturers, fabricators, equipment installers), purchasing typically pays back within 2–3 jobs.
