In Stock — Miami Warehouse Same-Day Will-Call ANSI MH28.3 Compliant

Medical-grade casters are built for hospital equipment: quiet operation around 45 dB, total-lock (wheel + swivel) for fixed positioning, smooth tread for hard-surface flooring, and materials suited to infection-control routines. They are specified across hospital floors, sterile processing departments, surgical suites, and imaging equipment where patient-safety and infection-control protocols govern equipment selection.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does "total-lock" mean and why does medical require it?
Total-lock (also called dual-lock) brakes lock both the wheel rotation AND the swivel direction with a single pedal. Without locking the swivel, even a wheel-locked caster can rotate around its swivel axis under side-load — which is exactly what happens during a code-blue when staff push against a "locked" gurney. Total-lock is the difference between safe and unsafe positioning, which is why it is standard for hospital equipment.
Stainless or chrome rig for hospital casters?
Stainless is required when washdown or sterile processing is in scope (CSSD carts, surgical instrument carts). Chrome-plated steel works for general hospital floors (gurneys, IV poles, patient room equipment) where infection-control wipedown is the routine but no chemical washdown occurs. Chrome is less expensive; stainless is non-corroding for life.
